City Hunter Movie: The final chapter begins has got its first visual alongside a wild teaser featuring the tagline ‘GET WILD’. As the title of the movie suggests, the series is going to enter its final stage with the production of this movie.

The first part of the final City Hunter movie is set to release in 2023. The theatrical release is limited to the theatres of Japan only and will release in Fall season of this year. The announcement of this movie came way back this year in order to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the anime series.

The key visual for the movie has been drawn by the original manga author Tsukasa Hojo. Also, the 35-year-old song GET WILD by TM Network is making a comeback as the Ending theme song for the movie. In fact, the song came into being because of the City Hunter anime, and now it will be happening again.

The cast for the movie is as follows:

The main staff for the movie was also released recently. Kenji Kodama is the Chief Director and Script is written by Yasuyuki Mutou. Studio Sunrise has collaborated with The Answer Studio for the movie’s production.

As mentioned already, the author of the original manga series is Tsukasa Hojo and it was serialized in the weekly Shonen Jump in 1985. Two years later, the series was adapted into a TV anime and became quite popular, even in the West.
The series had a total of 4 anime series and 7 anime films. Its popularity even led to many spin-offs that were inspired by the original series. The live-action movie in 1993 featuring Jackie Chan is one of many. There was also a spin-off manga titled ‘Angel Heart‘.
The manga circulation also generated a huge revenue of 2 billion dollars and the series was voted to be the 19th most powerful series to ever feature in the Jump magazine.
