There’s great news for Isekai fans as The Eminence in Shadow season 2 has been confirmed to be in production.
Hey everyone, I hope you all are doing well. You must have heard of it already but the second season of The Eminence in Shadow is in production and will be coming out this year. Being the most awaited and interesting Isekai of 2023 and 1st season being a big hit, I’m sure that many of you must have been waiting for its season 2 eagerly.
The wait was over when the anime’s second season was announced in Feb 2023. However, recently the production team dropped even more information on the sequel of The Eminence in Shadow.

The Eminence In Shadow Season 2 Release Date
With a successful run in the first season, The Eminence in Shadow season 2 will likely be even more amazing. It is set to premiere on 12 October 2023 which is about a year after season 1.
Here’s the latest trailer that came out recently along with the release of new information.
The trailer confirmed many new characters and the new location where the next arc will be set up. It will be great to witness the new adventures of Cid and Shadow Garden as they continue their battle against the cult.
I understand that it is difficult to wait for the release since I am a big fan of the series myself and can’t wait for the sequel.

The Eminence In Shadow Season 2 Staff & Cast
The new information for the anime came out during the joint stream between the anime and Shadow Garden game, which is also the official The Eminence In Shadow game. The official staff that will be working on the series is as follows:

With no major changes in the staff, the original cast will be returning for the sequel as well. Apart from that, the cast for the new characters was revealed alongside the introduction of new characters. The names are as follows.
- Tomokazu Sugita as Crimson
- Takeshi Koyama as Juggernaut
- Shizuka Ito as Yukime
- Ai Kakuma as Mary
The Eminence In Shadow Season 2 Plot
The 2nd season of The Eminence in Shadow will continue the story from where the 1st left off. It is going to have 12 episodes which is sort of a letdown as season 1 had 20. However, it also covered 2 volumes of the LN whereas this season will be covering volume 3 of the LN focusing on the Lawless City, where survival of the fittest is the only norm.
We will also get to see a lot of new characters which we already saw glimpses of in the trailer.

The arc will focus on the awakening of the Blood Queen after a long period of time. Cid Kagenou, having a knack for being present at the places with the most mess, also wants a piece of the action surrounding the Queen. However, he will encounter the three rulers of the Lawless City: Juggernaut, Yukime, and Crimson. The shadow garden will also involve themselves with the awakening of Blood Queen.
The plot is quite interesting and makes the wait for the series even more difficult.
The Eminence In Shadow Season 2: Where To Watch?
After the acquisition of the series by HIDIVE, the series will be available on stream and simulcast on the same platform. There is no official confirmation but the streaming of the series may extend to other streaming platforms as well.
