News about the rising of the shield hero season 3 is surfacing with the anime getting an official release confirmation which is due for this fall season. However, the expectations from this season will also be higher as the 2nd season was a big letdown, in comparison with the 1st.
Though, I believe that it was bound to be as season 1 focused majorly on the development of the rising of the shield whereas the 2nd was just the follow-up of what he does after developing his character. From a story perspective, I feel that it was justified. But that may not be enough to change the mass perspective.

The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 3 Release Date
Many fans (including me) of The Rising of The Shield Hero had been waiting eagerly for the release of season 3. Finally, we received confirmation on the rising of the shield hero release date. The clock has started ticking and is set for October 2023. As for the exact date, it is yet to be revealed.

The Rising Of The Shield Hero is originally a light novel series by Aneko Yusagi. It follows the, recently popular, Isekai trope and adds a dark theme to it which is rare in the Isekai genre. The series first came out as a web novel on the novel site Shōsetsuka ni Narō. The series was later adapted into a manga series as well, which was written by Aiya Kyū.

The Rising Of The Shield Hero Wiki
The story focuses on the shield hero who is among one of the four cardinal heroes in the series. Naofumi Iwatani, the protagonist of the series, is summoned to another world alongside three others from different worlds. The purpose of summoning was to bring the cardinal heroes to fight the waves of monsters and save the world. Each subsequent wave gets tougher, however, the waves are not the only thing that the heroes have to fight.
Naofumi assumes the role of Shield Hero, equipped with the legendary shield. A spear, sword, and arrow were the other three legendary weapons.

Unfortunately, the shield hero is not regarded as a hero and gets treated harshly. It gets even worse when the princess of the kingdom who summons the heroes falsely alleges him of sexual assault. From that point on begins the real story of the shield hero who has to fight more than just the waves of monsters.
This is the story of the shield hero fighting to protect the people who treated him with disrespect. The journey also showcases how he regains his honor alongside his trustworthy mates Raphtalia and Filo.
Conclusion
It is among one of the best Isekai series I’ve seen so far. I’d even go so far as to say it is among the best anime series for me. The story is engaging and makes you involved deeply that you can not resist watching it. The characters and story depiction was pretty amazing, despite the second season being slower and not as interesting as the first.
