The original LN series started publishing in 2018. It was written by Saekisan and the illustrations were done by Hazano Kazutake and Hanekoto. It was later adapted into a manga series as well which started in January 2022.

Amane Fujimiya is the protagonist of the series who lives a very disorganized life and seldom eats at his house. He has a beautiful classmate, Mahiru, who is also his next door neighbor. But despite being in close proximity they don’t seem to know each other very well. However, it all changes one day when Amane sees the girl in distress when it was raining and offers her an umbrella. She accepts the gesture and returns the favor by helping him out with his house chores. Slowly and steadily, they start getting close as they develop feelings for each other.
